Pleasant Grove Joint Union School District

The English Language Learner (ELL) program provides services to English learners to:

• ensure that they acquire English-language proficiency
• recoup any academic deficits that may have been incurred while learning English
• promote cross-cultural understanding, and
• provide equal access to the core curriculum provided for all students

The fundamental goal of the program is for ELL students to function successfully in the English language and to maintain comparable academic progress with English-only students.
