In the upper grade classes (4th-8th), grades are based on certain criteria as well as percentages. Below is the percentage translation for the number grades we give. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
96% to 100% - 4 (advanced)
90% to 95% - 3.5
85% to 89% - 3 (proficient)
80% to 84% - 2.5
70% to 79% - 2 (basic)
55% to 69% - 1.5 (below basic)
<54% - 1 (far below basic)

Just a reminder to all Upper Grade Parents, we have a no tolerance policy for the use of certain words and bullying. The consequences will be an automatic after-school detention. This policy is in response to multiple students continuously calling each other gay, retarded, etc and a bullying issue that was threatening the well being of others.
