The California Department of Public Health has sent the following notice to schools.
Pertussis (whooping cough) is widespread. If your child 10 years and older has not yet received the "Tdap" pertussis booster shot, please contact your doctor or health department. Getting a booster shot now will protect your child against the ongoing threat of pertussis and meet a new school requirement that begins in the 2011-12 school year (California law - Assembly Bill354). Adults are also advised to get a pertussis booster shot, if they haven't already, to protect themselves, their families, and their students.
For the 2011-12 school year, all students entering 7th through 12th grades will need proof of a Tdap booster shot before starting school.

History and science portfolios are to be kept current for all assignments and will be collected for grading after the final assessment for each chapter.
(8Th History) Benchmark projects are due on February 16, 2012.
(8Th Science) Portfolios for Chapter 2 are due on Friday, 2/10/12.
(7Th grade Roman project) Check out our pictures!
(7Th Language Arts) Published and signed copy of persuasive were due on Monday, 2/6/12.
(7 Th History)
(7/8 PE) Par course assessments will begin on the week of January 30th, weather permitting.

The 2011/12 basketball season is now in full swing, and we are still desperately looking for volunteer referees for girls and boys. If you are interested in helping us as a referee, please contact me or anyone in the office. Thanks so much for all of your past support. The Annual FFA Elementary Basketball Tournament will be held on 2/25/12 in the gym at ENHS. Cost to adults is $2.00 and children/students are $1.00. Mr. Moore

Dear Parents, Guardians and Friends:
I wish at this time to thank all of the parents, family and friends who supported our after school sports program for football and volleyball. Without the help of all of you, our calender of games would suffer. I realize how difficult it is in these costly and busy times to provide transportation for practice and games. However, I believe that athletics are an important component to the nourishment of the body, mind and spirit of our students. I will be looking forward to your continued support for the following basketball seasons.
