Important News on the Online Math/Science/History TextsTop of Page
In order to use the online textbook students must go to www.pearsonsuccessnet.com and enter their individual code.  They should have received a printed information letter containing the password from either Mrs. Carl or Mrs. Chrissman.  For Mrs. Carl and Mr. Moore's student's the letter should be in their math portfolio's.  From their they will enter their password.  They then should see a picture of both their science and math textbooks.  Choose the appropriate text and voila!  They have their textbook available online!  If you have dial up you may experience difficulty using the homework tutorials available through the other URL at www.phschool.com.  As for having the history available online, it is only available by checking out a CD from Mr. Moore or Mrs. Chrissman.  I encourage students to take advantage of these features.  The quizzes and exams for all three subjects are so close to what they will actually be having in class!

If you experience in problems please let me know via email.  Happy Learning!
Intervention/Enrichment PeriodTop of Page
We are currently still assessing student's.  We started working with our Oral Fluency students and should be placing all student's in the appropriate class to begin Monday, August 30.

Oral Fluency, the speed at which a student reads, has been found to be directly related to a student's comprehension.  If a student is so busy decoding, "breaking down", the words they are unable to understand what they read.  We at PG are trying to help student's overcome this difficulty so that they can get the most out of their reading.

If you have questions or concerns please consult your child's homeroom teacher.
Snap GradesTop of Page
Available now:   Online access to grades, discipline issues, and soon assignments!

Every 8th grade parent should have received the code to the Snap Grades program.  The first time you access it you will choose your individualized password.  I encourage you to use one that your child can know so that they can be responsible and view their grades too! Right now there are no grades however, by the end of next week you should be able to see how your student is doing.  I will still be asking that all graded assignments be signed by a parent or guardian regardless of the grade.

You deserve to see the good with the bad!
