Welcome to Pleasant Grove School District. Pleasant Grove is a small, rural school district comprised of a single, K-8 school – a wonderful one! The school district has been around since the 1860s, and we are very proud of our long-standing tradition of excellence. We are a great combination of traditional values and progressive educational practices.

We’re proud of our reputation throughout our region as a high-energy, high-outcome learning community. We are a district of choice for about 50% of our students’ families.
They choose to send their students here because of high expectations for student behavior, student outcomes, and program options. Our API score for the 2006-2007 school year was 868 – the highest in our county.

We are pleased to offer a wide variety of programs for students. Our technology program is state-ofthe-art, with students as young as 2nd grade producing and sharing PowerPoint presentations. We have a student-to-computer ratio of about 2:1. In addition to networked
computers in our classrooms, we also have many other current forms of technology, including digital cameras, camcorders, and class sets of wireless laptops. Teachers and students use technology to record, process, and share information.

We have a wide variety of GATE classes that are open to all students (including choir, drama, technology, science, dance) and an after-school sports program. Our students participate in school service opportunities as well, such as mentoring, serving in the cafeteria, and schoolwide clean-up activities.

Our Physical Fitness test scores are usually the highest in our region. Our students participate in a structured, rigorous physical fitness regimen that complements our overall philosophy of maintaining high expectations for everything we do.

We care a great deal about our students, and we believe it shows. We hold ourselves and our students to a high standard of behavior, and we put in the extra time it takes to ensure we are all doing our best. Our custodians, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, secretaries, aides, teachers, Board of Trustees, and I all believe in supporting every child with excellence. We hope you will enjoy your visit to our website, and please call if I can answer any questions.
